This is the role of the self in the wider group, the one who can see where things are heading and help others move toward it. Your leadership is not about force or holding a title, it is about influence, the quiet authority that comes from seeing the road ahead clearly. You are most effective standing just behind the person in front, offering direction the way a trusted advisor does. There is a logic to how you lead, a sense of the pattern others will eventually follow. When you are recognised and invited rather than pushing your way forward, your steadying presence helps a group find its future, and people willingly follow the direction you point toward.

Line 1 - Authoritarian

Exalted: (Venus) The firm hand used well. Like the basic values and rules a good parent sets for a child, you can guide with real authority, and people accept it because the direction is sound.

Detriment: (Mercury) The same firmness with the wisdom taken out. Here the mind becomes convinced that only it knows best, and authority stops being guidance and turns into insistence.
