The Sensing Circuit

Collective Circuit Group. Keynote: Sharing

The Sensing Circuit, also called the Abstract Circuit, is the second of the two Collective circuits and the mirror image of the Understanding Circuit. Its keynote is sharing, and what it shares is experience. It looks back. Life is lived, felt, completed, and then reflected upon, and the reflection becomes a story that saves other people from having to live the same thing twice.

This is the most human circuitry in the chart. It runs through the Solar Plexus, so it carries the emotional wave from desire to disappointment and back, and it has no Spleen to keep it safe. Experience here is a leap into the new for its own sake, and the meaning is worked out afterwards, never in advance.

The Seven Channels

Channel 47-64 is the Channel of Abstraction, mental pressure to make sense of what happened. Channel 11-56 is the Channel of Curiosity, ideas turned into stories worth telling. Channel 13-33 is the Channel of the Prodigal, the witness who goes out, returns and remembers. Channel 29-46 is the Channel of Discovery, saying yes and finding out what the body can do. Channel 30-41 is the Channel of Recognition, the hunger for a new feeling. Channel 35-36 is the Channel of Transitoriness, the jack of all trades who has to try everything once. Channel 42-53 is the Channel of Maturation, beginnings that want to be brought to completion.

Cycles, Not Formulas

Where logic wants to master something, the abstract wants to finish it. A Sensing process has a beginning, a middle and an end, and the whole value is in going all the way through. Stop halfway and there is nothing to reflect on. Rush the ending and the story has no lesson. When things stop changing, restlessness sets in, and the not-self will manufacture a crisis just to get the cycle moving again.

Living With Sensing Defined

You are here to have experiences and to make sense of them afterwards, for other people as much as for yourself. Do not expect the experience to make sense while it is happening; that is not how this circuitry works. The practice is to enter each thing cleanly, follow it to its end, and only then look for what it meant. Shared at the right moment, your reflections are the Collective's memory, and the reason humanity learns from its history at all.
