The Heretic

Line 5 is the Heretic, the universalizer. Fifth lines live inside a projection field: others see in them a potential rescuer and project their hopes and expectations onto them, often before really knowing them. This makes fifth lines natural generals, stepping in with practical, outside-the-box solutions when the usual answers have failed. Their reputation rises and falls on whether those solutions work, so honest self-awareness about what they can truly deliver is essential. Called on in crisis and then left to regroup, they are most powerful when they choose their moments well.
