The Opportunist

Line 4 is the Opportunist, the foundation of the upper trigram and the line of human relationships. Fourth lines externalize what the lower lines have built, and they do it through a network of friends and associates rather than through strangers. Warmth and friendliness are their gift for connection, and the quality of their life tracks the quality of their network. There is a fixed quality here: they move securely from one relationship or opportunity to the next, and they need retreat time to avoid people-burnout. People are their biggest investments.
