Line 1 - Interdependence
Exalted: (Sun) The ability to reach out and be welcomed by others without losing yourself in the process. You can want connection, and win acceptance, while your own identity stays fully intact.
Detriment: (Moon) Once accepted, a tendency to stall there, endlessly reflecting instead of growing, because underneath the acceptance sits a fear of eventual rejection. The wanting becomes anxious rather than nourishing.
Line 2 - Service
Exalted: (Jupiter) A wholehearted dedication to serving what you hold most valuable. You put your own resources behind the need you have sensed, and the wanting becomes an engine for genuine service.
Detriment: (Mercury) A long stretch of hesitation before you commit. The need to be wanted holds you in indecision for a while, though in the end you come round and put your energy to work anyway.
Line 3 - Dedication
Exalted: (Venus) An easy, natural closeness that you keep alive without effort. Being accepted by the people around you settles your sensitivity, and staying in communion with them costs you nothing.
Detriment: (Moon) Moods that pull you off your care. When the need to be wanted meets too much sensitivity, attention slips, and the connection you were tending gets handled carelessly.
Line 4 - The Team Player
Exalted: (Mars) The energy and drive to reach out and rally people around a shared effort, accepting others gladly as long as they can keep pace, and putting real horsepower behind the good of the whole group.
Detriment: (Venus) Warm and cooperative on the surface, yet quietly dissatisfied with what others bring. When their contribution falls short of yours, the sensitivity curdles into disappointment and the team feeling suffers.
Line 5 - Sacrifice
Exalted: (Earth) The self-restraint to hold your own wants back so a larger goal can be reached. You have the ground to keep your sensitivities in check, and limiting yourself is a deliberate choice rather than a loss.
Detriment: (Jupiter) Sacrifice that comes with a note attached. When giving something up carries a whiff of condescension, the very act meant to serve others ends up dulling your sensitivity to them.
Line 6 - The Recluse
Exalted: (Jupiter) The sage on the hill. You keep your distance from contact by default, and yet if someone takes the trouble to find you, you will talk, and there is real wisdom waiting for them when they do.
Detriment: (Mars) Withdrawal as protest. The exile is self-imposed and it lasts until someone comes to soothe you, because underneath it is a sensitivity to rejection that would rather avoid contact than risk it.
